Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to support our upcoming website launch by helping locate and organize images of police officers and firefighters in the State of California who have died in the line of duty. This role is essential to ensuring that our memorial content is accurate, complete, and respectfully presented.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and locate publicly available photographs of California police officers and firefighters who have died in the line of duty.
- Verify accuracy of images before submission when possible.
- Upload images to a designated shared cloud drive according to established file-naming and organizational standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Meet all assigned deadlines to support the website development timeline.
Qualifications
- Access to a reliable computer and stable internet connection.
- Ability to copy, save, and upload digital images to a cloud-based storage platform (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox).
- Basic proficiency in web browsing and online research.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow organizational guidelines.
- Commitment to accuracy and respectful handling of memorial materials.
