Explore Your Lyric 2026 - Volunteer Opportunity

Be a part of the exploration and fun at the Lyric Opera House for Explore Your Lyric on Saturday, April 26, 2026.

For Explore Your Lyric, we will need volunteers from 9am-4pm. Your call time is 30 minutes before the shift for which you signed up, which may be prior to event start time and beyond event end time. Duties would go as follows:

• Set up room/lobby activation prep – 9AM-11AM

• Greeters: 11AM-2PM – These volunteers would ideally commit to a full three-hour shift but could also sign up for smaller increments. Greeters are stationed throughout the hall to greet patrons, direct them to their desired activations, as well as the facilities.

• Station Assistants: 10:30AM-12:30PM or 12:00PM-2:00PM. Volunteers may choose to work two consecutive shifts. These volunteers would remain stationary at each activation and provide crowd control, maintain the flow of traffic at the station, and ensure the schedule is communicated (where applicable).

• General Event Runners: 10:30AM-12:30PM or 12:00PM-2:00PM. Volunteers will cover each station for breaks and provide general support for the event.

• Perimeter Monitors: 10AM-12:00PM or 11:30AM-1:30PM or 1PM-3PM – These volunteers will be stationed at the perimeter of the event space to ensure security and manage crowd flow. They will help monitor entrances and exits, direct guests to the appropriate areas, and maintain a safe and orderly environment throughout the event. Volunteers in this role will also be responsible for identifying any potential safety concerns and assisting with any crowd control needs, especially in high-traffic areas.

• Break down room/lobby activation clean up – 2PM-4PM
