Who We Are:
The Water Insecurity Correction Coalition is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing water insecurity issues across the United States. We focus on fundraising development, policy advocacy, grassroots activism, meaningful education, and youth empowerment in our programming. To learn more about what we do, please visit our website.
What We Offer:
Multiple departments are open for volunteers! These positions range from 1-15 hours per week of remote work, with options for increased responsibilities over time. See yeswicc.com/jobs for more details on each role.
- Upstate Water Contamination Project Team Member in New York (priority deadline March 31st)
- Septic Steps Project Member in California (priority deadline March 31st)
- Marketing & Communications Team Member (applications due March 31st)
- Fundraising Team Member (applications due March 31st)
- Program Coordinator (applications due March 31st)
- Volunteer Advisory Board Member (accepting applications anytime)
- General Volunteer (accepting applications anytime)
- Fellow/Intern (accepting applications anytime)
Qualifications:
We look for volunteers with one or more of the following traits and skills.
- Passion for addressing water insecurity, environmental justice, and youth empowerment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Clear and timely communication through email, chat, and virtual meetings
- Fundraising and/or grant writing
- Marketing, social media, and/or graphic design
- Policy advocacy
- Community outreach
- Nonprofit management or Board experience/interest
- Connection to a water-insecure community
- Located in California or New York State (preferred)
