Position Overview
Faith in God Charity Missions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Volunteer Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all HR functions within the organization. This role is critical to strengthening our internal systems, supporting staff and volunteers, and building a healthy, mission-aligned organizational culture.
This is a volunteer position with no financial compensation. The selected candidate must be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week consistently.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Develop and manage volunteer and staff recruitment processes
- Draft and post role descriptions
- Screen candidates and coordinate interviews
- Oversee onboarding and orientation for new team members
Policy Development & Compliance
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable nonprofit regulations
- Maintain confidential personnel records
Performance Management
- Establish performance evaluation systems
- Support department leaders with feedback and development planning
- Promote accountability and growth within the team
Volunteer Management
- Create systems to engage, retain, and recognize volunteers
- Address concerns and resolve conflicts professionally
- Foster a positive, mission-aligned work culture
Organizational Development
- Support leadership with strategic workforce planning
- Recommend training and professional development initiatives
- Strengthen internal communication and collaboration
Qualifications
- Experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
- Strong understanding of HR best practices
- Experience working with nonprofits is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity and discretion with confidential information
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Passion for humanitarian service and community transformation
Required Commitment
- Minimum of 10 hours per week
- Ability to attend leadership or team meetings as needed
- Consistent communication and accountability
