Volunteer AI/ML Engineer (Telemedicine App)

Role Overview

We are seeking AI/ML Engineers (Junior to Senior level) who are passionate about applying artificial intelligence to real healthcare challenges. You will help design, train, integrate, and optimize AI models powering clinical intelligence, patient triage, analytics, and automation within our telemedicine platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning models for healthcare use cases
• Develop AI triage systems for patients
• Build clinical decision support features for doctors
• Implement speech-to-text and medical note automation
• Develop predictive analytics and system intelligence for super admin dashboards
• Train, test, and optimize models for accuracy, performance, and fairness
• Integrate AI models with the backend and frontend systems
• Monitor models in production and improve them continuously

Requirements (Open to All Experience Levels)

• Strong foundation in Python and machine learning fundamentals
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar frameworks
• Understanding of data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation
• Familiarity with APIs and AI model deployment
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to commit consistent weekly hours

Nice-to-Have (Not Mandatory)

• Experience in healthcare AI, NLP, or medical imaging
• Experience with speech recognition or LLM integrations
• Knowledge of HIPAA/GDPR-style data privacy standards
• Experience with Fastify, or microservices
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
