A Volunteer Visit Can Make a Difference in the live of patients- VITAS Healthcare- Lincoln County/Troy, MO

VITAS Healthcare is looking for volunteers to share their time with hospice patients residing in their own homes and/or nursing facilities. Volunteers give their time to terminally ill patients and their caregivers during a critical time. Patient Care volunteers offer companionship, socialization, emotional support, play music and games, read to patients, and help in other meaningful ways during visits. VITAS Healthcare provides training and orientation for hospice volunteering on communication skills, family dynamics and how to make a positive difference for patients, caregivers, and families.

Volunteer visits not only help patients but families as well and the shortest conversation can heave the largest impact. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and taking time out of your busy week makes an enormous difference for patients.
