Are you looking to do meaningful work in your community? Do you have at least 1-2 hours per month to give back? Do you have a talent for working with people? Hospice Patients and their families are in need, and can use your help.
We are looking for Friends of Hospice. In this volunteer position, you will meet with a patient and their family in-home and work toward making a meaningful friendship. Being a Hospice Patient Volunteer looks different for each person. Some examples of what you may be doing:
- Companionship
- Helping the patient write their life story
- Walking or playing with the family pet
- Baking, making art, playing music, or singing
- Calling the patient or caregivers to have a friendly conversation
- Running errands for the patient and family
- 11th hour volunteer
Being a hospice volunteer is giving the beautiful gift of meaningful connection and friendship in a time of need.

Volunteers would be making visits to a patient living in-home.
