As our Animal Intake Admin you’ll play an important role in intaking animals into the foster program and this role will allow you to play a major part in ensuring animals are intaked into the program and ready to rock and roll!

Team: Foster Team

Reports to: Foster Director

Works with:

Location: Remote/Virtual - Virtual from anywhere, understanding we are in the CST timezone.

Time Commitment: Between 6-15 Hours a week

Compensation: This is a Volunteer Position with no monetary compensation. After one year of service we issue a professional letter of recommendation from our Director of Volunteer Management and Human Resources, as well as a LinkedIn recommendation(s) as applicable.

Position Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the “new pulls” Slack channel for new pull requests
• Inputting the animal into ShelterLuv
• Using templates to send new pull emails to fosters which introduce them to the team, inform them of logistics for picking up their new foster animal, and provide information about foster caretaking
• Assisting with any other duties needed to help drive Dallas Pets Alive!’s mission

Skills and Qualifications best suited for this position:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Proficiency with Gmail and G-Suite applications
• Fluency in English; bilingual a plus!
• Ability to operate a computer or mobile device
• The following activities are required:
  • Ability to operate a computer and/or mobile device.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
