Medical Transportation for Seniors - $0.70 per mile reimbursement

Did you ever consider how challenging it is for seniors who live alone when they have no transportation to crucial medical appointments like dialysis or doctor visits?

Adult volunteers have the opportunity to facilitate independence by providing transportation to homebound seniors in need of a ride to medical appointments. Use your own car, mileage reimbursement ($.66 per mile) is available from your home and back. Volunteers choose the assignments that fit with their schedule, their geographic area, and comfort-level with providing a senior with assistance entering and exiting the car. The clients are very grateful!

Training for this assignment includes volunteer orientation, one-on-one Medical Transportation training and an online defensive driving session.
