WHAT VOLUNTEERS CAN DO:

+ Visit patients in a facility or in their homes.

+ Read to a patient

+ Play a instrument or listen to music

+ Share stories or memories

+ Simply be present with a patient, offering comfort just by being there.

Gentiva Volunteers are trained in the goals and philosophy care, as well as care and comfort of hospice patients.

Through caring, compassion and time given to hospice patients our volunteers to make an invaluable contribution to community, gain personal and spiritual growth, enhance their resume and have a greater appreciation for life.
