Who We Are:
Girls Rugby is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls through non-contact, flag rugby while teaching essential life skills like leadership, teamwork, and confidence.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for enthusiastic and positive volunteer coaches to help lead practices and games for girls in grades 2nd-8th. No rugby experience? No problem! We provide all training, practice plans, and resources to set you up for success.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead 1-2 practices per week (weeknights) and attend Sunday game days
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for players
- Teach the basics of flag rugby and encourage confidence, teamwork, and leadership
- Communicate with parents and provide team updates
- Serve as a role model and inspire the next generation of female athletes
What We Provide:
✔ Training & Support – Online and in-person coach training and full season curriculum
✔ Practice Plans & Curriculum – No experience needed! We provide everything
✔ Coaching Gear & Equipment – All necessary supplies are provided
✔ A Fun & Rewarding Experience – Make a lasting impact on young girls in your community
Requirements:
- Passion for mentoring and empowering young athletes
- Ability to commit to a 7-week season
- Complete a background check (required for all coaches)
- Willingness to learn and have fun!
