Here’s a friendlier, clearer version with a more approachable flow:
Remote Social Media & Research Intern (Mental Health & the Arts)
We’re looking for a thoughtful, curious human to help us share the benefits of sound meditation with more people.
Sound Meditation Presents is a small, growing organization (currently transitioning into a nonprofit) focused on mental health, music, and the healing arts. We create large-scale sound bath experiences and digital content to help people rest, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with themselves.
We already have a lot of beautiful content—videos, teachings, and conversations—but we need help shaping and sharing it in a way that feels engaging and accessible.
What you’ll be doing:
- Turning our existing videos into short, engaging posts for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Writing simple, warm captions about topics like stress, sleep, sound, and healing
- Researching the science behind sound therapy (using credible sources like universities and medical institutions) and turning it into clear, easy-to-understand content
- Helping run casual, structured interviews with us (including insights from Simona’s book) and pulling out great quotes and moments
- Keeping things organized with a simple content calendar so we can stay consistent without burning out
This could be a great fit if you:
- Care about mental health, creativity, and making wellness more accessible
- Are interested in meditation, sound, or nervous system regulation
- Have a feel for what makes content engaging (or want to learn)
- Enjoy turning research or big ideas into something relatable and human
- Are organized and comfortable using tools like Google Sheets or Notion
Details:
- Remote, volunteer (unpaid) internship
- About 5–8 hours per week, flexible schedule
- 3-month minimum commitment, with option to continue
- You’ll work directly with a small, collaborative team as we grow into a nonprofit
What you’ll get:
- Real experience creating content for a mission-driven mental health and arts organization
- A deeper understanding of sound meditation, both through research and firsthand insight
- Mentorship in storytelling and content creation
- Portfolio pieces, a reference letter, and potential school credit (if applicable)
To apply:
- Send a short note about yourself and why this feels like a good fit
- Share 1–3 examples of content you’ve made (or ideas you’d try)
- Optional: any background in meditation, music, psychology, neuroscience, or related areas
This a volunteer role with potential to grow into a part time or even a full time role, if it's a good fit and the projects are successful. Call us to discuss!
