Gallery volunteer

Support the Artspace by welcoming and assisting visitors, providing information about exhibits, and maintaining safety during our quarterly art exhibitions. As a volunteer-run organization, we rely on Gallery Volunteers to make the space available to the public. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys the arts. You don't need to be an expert. Responsibilities include:

• Opening the gallery for regular exhibition hours including turning on lights, light tidying, and ensuring space is welcoming for visitors
• Providing information to visitors about the Artspace, the exhibition, classes and membership opportunities
• Monitoring gallery visitors for appropriate gallery conduct and ensuring protection of the art
• Reporting attendance numbers and any issues with the building
• If a class or workshop is also scheduled, your help may be requested to assist with class setup or clean up
• At the conclusion of exhibition hours, closing the building following outlined procedures, verifying all doors are locked, and light tidying if needed
