About ElderNet

ElderNet of Lower Merion and Narberth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping older adults (60+) and adults with disabilities age in place, stay connected, and be supported in their homes and communities. Through the power of volunteers, ElderNet provides transportation, friendly visits, light chores, and social engagement opportunities that reduce isolation and promote dignity.

Position Overview

ElderNet is seeking a volunteer photographer to help capture meaningful images throughout the year for use in marketing and communications materials, including our website, brochures, social media, newsletters, grant proposals, and annual reports.

This flexible, project-based opportunity is ideal for a professional or hobby photographer who wants to use their skills to support older adults in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Photograph community events, volunteer activities, and programs
• Capture authentic, respectful images that reflect connection, compassion, and community impact.
• Take occasional posed group photos of volunteers, board members, or staff.
• Provide edited, high-resolution digital images suitable for print and web use.
• Organize and share images via a shared folder within 1–2 weeks of each event.
• Follow all photo consent and confidentiality guidelines when photographing older adults and adults with disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in event or community photography.
• Own camera equipment and editing software.
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed-upon deadlines.
• Sensitivity, patience, and professionalism when photographing older adults.
• Alignment with ElderNet’s mission to support independence and reduce social isolation.
