Atlanta Angels know that not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but everyone can make a difference in the life of a child. There are several ways you can make a difference. We have the Love Box program, where we match a foster family with a volunteer in their community who is committed to building a relationship and showing consistently. The Love Box program provides fostering families (caregivers, children in foster care, and biological/adopted children) with community and holistic support. When our families are matched with committed volunteers who show up monthly, parents feel supported and children gain a greater sense of normalcy, relational permanency, and self confidence.
This program requires a one-year commitment, with meetings at least once a month with your family.
We are currently seeking specific volunteers to be matched with families on our waitlist! We are specifically looking for volunteers in or around the Cherokee County area for family number #98.
A caring single foster parent originally from Russia who has been fostering since 2018. She enjoys taking the kids to parks, lakes, and pools, and values creating fun and meaningful experiences for them. She’s currently caring for an 11-year-old boy who loves cooking, water parks, and trying new foods, and a 13-year-old who is still adjusting after leaving residential care. The family would benefit from a supportive volunteer who can help with outings, building connections, and offering light assistance like grocery or clothing support.
Please reach out to Allie at volunteers@atlantaangels.org for more information or please visit our website. If you are in or near Cherokee County and interested in supporting a local family, please reach out!
