Summer Volunteer Campaign: Youth & Family Companion Volunteers
Detalhes
Descrição
Providence PACE (ElderPlace Program)
As summer approaches, we invite families to share meaningful experiences together by giving back to older adults in our community. Providence PACE is excited to offer volunteer opportunities for youth under 18, accompanied by a parent or guardian.
This is a wonderful opportunity to teach compassion, build connections, and create lasting memories while supporting our elderly participants.
Volunteers will provide social engagement and companionship to participants through:
- Friendly conversation and storytelling
- Playing games (board games, cards, puzzles)
- Creative activities (arts, crafts, music)
- Building meaningful connections and reducing social isolation
Opportunities available across the Washington PACE service area
Visits are scheduled based on your availability and participant needs
To ensure the safety and well-being of both participants and volunteers, the following are required for both the youth and accompanying parent/guardian:
- Completed volunteer application
- Background check (for parent/guardian)
- Medical screening
- Volunteer orientation (required prior to starting)
- Signed confidentiality agreement and required forms
- Commitment for the summer volunteer period
Join us this summer in bringing companionship, joy, and connection to our participants.
Spots are limited and may fill quickly, early application is encouraged.
