Green Empowerment for Development (GEFD) is a Yemeni non-profit organization dedicated to environmental restoration, green reconstruction, and inclusive empowerment. With a strategic focus on climate resilience and supporting people with disabilities (Project EBSAR), we bridge the gap between humanitarian relief and sustainable development.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Volunteer Grant Researcher to help identify funding opportunities that align with our mission. You will play a key role in expanding our financial resources by discovering grants from international foundations, government agencies, and corporate giving programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify Opportunities: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from local and international donors (UN agencies, global environmental funds, and private foundations).
- Grant Mapping: Maintain an organized database/calendar of upcoming grant deadlines, eligibility requirements, and focus areas.
- Strategic Alignment: Evaluate grant opportunities to ensure they align with GEFD’s core pillars (Reforestation, Inclusive Integration, and Renewable Energy).
- Reporting: Provide a summary of potential leads, including key submission requirements and donor priorities.
Qualifications
- Strong research skills and the ability to navigate digital grant databases.
- Excellent command of written English.
- Understanding of the non-profit sector and international development.
- Highly organized and able to work independently.
- Passion for environmental sustainability and humanitarian causes in Yemen.
Commitment Details
- Weekly Hours: 5–8 hours per week.
- Duration: Minimum 3 months.
- Location: 100% Remote.
