Cat Rescue - Foster homes needed for kittens thru adult cats!

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED We need volunteers who are able to take Fancy Cats Rescue cats into their homes for a period of 30 days or longer. Typically, this period gives the cats a break from their time in a cage at the adoption center, often a much needed change of scene!

Also new intakes: young kittens with or without their mother, ill cats, or cats recuperating from surgery need foster homes. A cat can benefit from socializing with a family. The foster program also helps FCRT learn more about an individual cat's habits and personality to better help find that perfect forever home!

FCRT assumes costs of medically necessary vet visits and treatment, and the foster home provides food and litter. Foster homes are also required to transport their foster cats to and from adoptions for showing, usually around once or twice per month. Adoption Events are held all around the Northern Virginia area on Saturdays and Sunday.

New foster homes will be given an introduction to fostering training and have support from current homes for questions.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who isn't sure if they are ready to own a pet and wants to gain some experience before adopting.
