This job will require teaching adults 18 and older basic computer and customer service skills. These skills will include teaching Microsoft office basics (creating documents, saving, printing, checking grammar and spelling, etc.) It will also involve teaching about internet access for job search and online applicationd, emails and information searches.
The other portion of the training will consist of basic customer service skills of business etiquette (greetig customers, answering the phone, dress, voicemail, email addresses, etc.)
The class will meet 2hours a day for 4 days a week at NSEC. NSEC will provide all equipment needed for the training. The trainer will work with NSEC staff to develop a class curriculum and schedule.
The hours of the class and days of the week are flexible depending on the availability of the volunteer. The volunteer will be asked to make a 6-8 week commitment to teach the class. There will be no class during major calendar holidays or inclement weather.
