Become a SJH Field Volunteer

Thank you for your consideration in becoming a SJH field volunteer! Field volunteers travel to client houses and complete minor home repairs that make a big difference in homeowner's lives. We currently provide services in southeastern Michigan and central Kentucky. Field volunteers are needed to help with:

• Home repairs
• Carpentry
• Electrical
• Plumbing
• Outdoor Services

Join the SJH team!

Becoming a volunteer is simple. It only takes about 10 minutes to fill out the application on our website.

After you complete the application, one of our office volunteers will reach out to you to go through a brief orientation and review required documents prior to beginning volunteer experience. You will also be given a username and password which will be used when you are ready to claim a repair case. We have an online database in which you can review repair requests and claim cases that you can work on. Office volunteers will coordinate with you and the homeowner to set up dates, times, and arrange any other details.

We host volunteer luncheons and events throughout the year, so we can get to know you and celebrate our volunteers. Field volunteers are always welcome to stop by the office and say hi!
