TEACH BUENOS AIRES: Empowering Futures through English

Teach Buenos Aires offers a unique opportunity for native or C1 level English speakers to volunteer their English teaching skills while immersing themselves in Argentine culture and learning Spanish. The program is dedicated to empowering individuals from vulnerable communities in Buenos Aires by providing quality English education to open doors to new opportunities.

The Basics

Volunteers will teach English for 15 hours per week, assisting experienced local teachers and leading their own conversational workshops and classes, both in-person and online. Teaching takes place at a small language school in downtown Buenos Aires and at partnering small schools and safe community centers in the city and surrounding province, primarily impacting children and individuals from underserved backgrounds.

In exchange for their dedication, volunteers receive comfortable, spacious shared accommodation with two other participants in a charming house in downtown Buenos Aires.

While the primary focus is on English teaching and assistance, volunteers have the opportunity to take 20 hours of Spanish classes per week (Monday-Friday) to enhance their cultural immersion. Please note that these Spanish classes require a separate payment to cover teacher salaries.

The program offers practical teaching experience, professional development (including optional TEFL certification), and a deeply rewarding international experience. It's led by a team of female educators from Buenos Aires and UK universities, fostering a supportive community.
