SHARE AN HOUR WITH A HOSPICE PATIENT IN DELAWARE

Capital City Hospice cares for patients throughout Central Ohio, with many in the Delaware area. Volunteers brighten a patient's day by simply offering companionship, friendship or a a listening ear.

Volunteers may choose the patients they visit and create a schedule that suits the volunteers as well as the patients.

As a volunteer, the time you spend with a patient not only brings comfort to that patient, but also warms your heart as you "get more than you give" when you volunteer!

All volunteers must attend an orientation to learn about hospice, its philosophy, processes and documentation. Orientation sessions are offered monthly; only one is required. Also required are a background check, TB & drug screening as well as fingerprinting, all at Capital City's expense.
