Volunteer Opportunity: Student Website Manager (Health & Community Impact)
Organization: Healthy Community Lifespaces (HCL)
Location: Remote / Flexible
Time Commitment: 2–5 hours per week (flexible)
Ideal for: High school seniors, college students, graduate students
About Us
Healthy Community Lifespaces (HCL) is a nonprofit dedicated to collaborating to create happiness and healthy, inclusive places. Our work spans student wellness, Safe Routes to School, civic engagement, nutrition education, and community-based health initiatives across schools and neighborhoods.
Volunteer Role
We are seeking a motivated student volunteer to help manage and update our website and support our digital presence. This is a meaningful opportunity for a student who wants to use their technical skills for real-world public health, education, and equity work.
Responsibilities
- Update website content (events, programs, resources)
- Help organize pages for clarity and accessibility
- Post occasional updates, photos, or announcements
- Suggest improvements to user experience and layout
- Collaborate with nonprofit leadership and student advocates
Skills We’re Looking For
- Basic website skills (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or similar)
- Comfortable editing text and images
- Interest in health, wellness, education, sustainability, or community engagement
- Reliable, curious, and mission-driven
