THIS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY REQUIRES APPLICANTS TO HAVE 10+ YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN THE NONPROFIT SECTOR, PREFERABLY AS A PROFESSIONAL FUNDRAISER OR IN A SENIOR DIRECTOR POSITION.
SEVA Travelers offers host organizations across Peru, spanning Lima, Iquitos, and Loreto. These placements provide volunteers the opportunity to support initiatives focused on education, women’s empowerment, Indigenous community support, environmental conservation, and sustainable development. Volunteers will collaborate with local nonprofits to strengthen fundraising strategies, donor engagement, and organizational capacity — all while experiencing Peru’s diverse cultures and the breathtaking Amazon rainforest.

Imfundo Kahle – Lima, Peru
Imfundo Kahle is a grassroots organization supporting children’s education and empowering women through community-based programs in Lima and the Amazon region. Volunteers will assist with strategic fundraising planning, capacity-building for local teams, and organizational operations optimization. There’s also opportunity to help improve donor engagement, develop proposals, and create sustainable revenue streams to expand the organization’s long-term impact.
Amazon Ecology – Iquitos, Loreto, Peru
Amazon Ecology works to support Indigenous artisans, community well-being, and forest conservation in the Peruvian Amazon. Volunteers will support donor research, grant proposal development, and strategic outreach to international philanthropic partners. Opportunities also include participating in site visits, developing digital communications, and building local fundraising capacity.
Acate Amazon Conservación – Loreto, Peru
Acate Amazon Conservación develops projects that provide clean water, fuel, electricity, and refrigeration to remote Amazon communities. Volunteers will help with grant writing, project development, and social media communications, enhancing the organization’s visibility and fundraising potential for critical community infrastructure programs.
Arca Beta NGO – Lima, Peru
Arca Beta NGO focuses on education, environmental awareness, and community development. Volunteers will help with donor identification and engagement, social media strategy, fundraising campaigns, and relationship management. Additional opportunities include supporting program-specific fundraising, proposal development, and operational sustainability to cover critical staffing and program costs.
