Community HousingWorks provides more than just life-changing affordable apartments; we provide the resident-centered services students need to succeed. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to support our after-school programs through 1-on-1 tutoring, STEAM activities, and enrichment support.

Your mentorship can bridge the gap for resident students, helping them build confidence and academic success in a supportive environment.

Who We're Looking For

You don't need to be a professional teacher to make a difference! We are looking for:

• • Encouragers: People who are patient and passionate about helping youth build confidence.
  • Lifelong Learners: Fans of STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Math) who want to share their curiosity.
  • Reliable Mentors: Individuals who can commit to a regular schedule to provide stability for our students.
  • Community Members: Neighbors in San Diego, Fresno, or Azusa who want to give back locally.

Where You’re Needed

We have several program locations across California:
