Few experiences are as rewarding as knowing you’ve truly made a difference for someone during a critical time in their life. At White Orchid Hospice, our volunteers are an essential part of our mission, helping to provide comfort, companionship, and compassionate care to patients and their families.

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Patient Companion: Offer your time and presence by reading, listening, holding a hand, or simply being there for patients who may be lonely or in need of connection.
• Respite Volunteer: Sit with patients to give primary caregivers a chance to rest, run errands, or attend appointments.
• Animal Assisted Therapy Volunteer: Bring certified pets to brighten patients’ days. Animals must be certified through Delta Society or another recognized program.
• Administrative Volunteers: Assist our team with light office tasks like filing, copying, and organizing to help keep operations running smoothly.
• 11th Hour Volunteers: Specially trained volunteers provide a calm, comforting presence for patients approaching the end of life.
