Emergency Department Volunteer

The focus of Emergency Department Volunteers is to provide comfort and service to Emergency Department patients and their families keeping inline with our Commitment to Care standards. They serve as the go between for patients, families, and guest services and the ED staff, ensuring that the patients needs are met.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service at all times.
• Treats every person with respect, concern, and hospitality regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or sociological background.
• Assists in providing a caring and comforting atmosphere for patients and families.
• Makes rounds on patients and families in the rooms/waiting area seeing that needs are met.
• Assists guest services and the ED staff by communicating with patients and families, running errands, giving directions, and assisting with transportation of patients.

Shifts available Monday-Sunday from 8am-10pm. Each shift is three hours.
