Tutor

Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life? Join us as a volunteer tutor and help adults in our community gain the reading, math, or English Language skills they need to succeed.

• Work with adults (18+) on reading and math (below 9th grade level) or English as a New Language (ENL).
• Meet with students one-on-one in public locations throughout Monroe County.
• Follow an individualized learning plan designed for each student.
• Support students at their own pace to help them build confidence and achieve their goals.

All students complete pre-testing before being matched with a tutor, ensuring a strong foundation for success. Training and ongoing support are provided—no prior teaching experience required.
