About the Campaign
The Jonathan Paz For Congress Campaign is a grassroots movement focused on mobilizing voters around a vision for Medicare For All, Abolishing ICE, Peace and a Good Life Economy. Campaign Fellows play a critical role in helping the campaign connect with voters, expand volunteer engagement, and execute field and communications programs.
Position Overview
The Campaign Fellow program is designed for students, recent graduates, and emerging leaders interested in gaining hands-on experience in political campaigns, community organizing, public service, and voter outreach. Fellows work closely with campaign staff and volunteers while developing valuable professional skills in leadership, communications, organizing, and grassroots advocacy. This is a volunteer fellowship that offers mentorship, professional development, networking opportunities, and practical campaign experience.
Responsibilities
- Engage voters through phone banking, text banking, canvassing, and community outreach efforts.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
- Assist with campaign events, town halls, and community meetings.
- Help organize voter contact and grassroots engagement programs.
- Support digital outreach and social media initiatives.
- Conduct research on community issues and voter concerns.
- Represent the campaign professionally at public events and volunteer activities.
- Collaborate with campaign leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in public service, politics, advocacy, or community organizing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- No prior campaign experience required.
