Veteran to Veteran Volunteer

Are you a Veteran who wants to reach out to other Veterans? If you are a Veteran - Thank you for your service!

The Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer will provide spiritual and emotional care to terminally ill hospice Veteran patients and their families. Our Veteran patients need a special touch, and we often find that they best connect with another Veteran. Quite often, a Veteran patient will open up more to a Veteran volunteer than their own family.

Our patients reside in either their own homes or in assisted living facilities. Veteran volunteers may sit with the Veterans and listen to their story, or read to them, or play cards. They may also give the spouse or caregiver a break to run errands. Veteran volunteers may participate in Veteran events.
