No One Dies Alone - Vigil Volunteer Opportunity for Hospice Patients

We are seeking uniquely compassionate individuals looking to give back to the community in a not often thought about role -

Standing Vigil.

Everyone goes through their end of life journey at one point or another - and here at AccentCare we believe that No One Dies Alone.

As a NODA/Vigil volunteer you would sit with patients who would otherwise be alone while in their last hours, providing them with dignity and much needed compassion in their greatest hour of need. But it does not stop there! Even if someone does have a loved one at the bedside, our Vigil volunteers act as an emotional/spiritual anchor to help guide both parties through this difficult time.

This is a heavy, unforgettable, and deeply humbling experience. If you feel you are prepared to help with this great need then dont hesitate to reach out! You will receive training, guidance, and around the clock support to help facilitate every visit. And with every visit you can rest easy knowing that you helped make the last moments of some one's life warm and loved.

We cover all of Hillsborough with 500+ patients on our services, so there is no shortage of this need. And we will try to always have you work in tandem with our other vigil volunteers so that the load is shared!
