Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a volunteer to provide individual, in‑person companionship for an older adult living in an adult care home. This role focuses on meaningful conversation and intellectual engagement in a calm, one‑on‑one setting.

What Makes This Visit Meaningful
The participant is thoughtful and enjoys substantive conversation. One‑on‑one visits offer an opportunity for shared discussion, connection, and social engagement that is tailored to the participant’s preferences.
Communication & Support Needs
- The participant may be hard of hearing at times
- Hearing aids are used; assistive listening devices are available at the home
- Volunteers should be comfortable speaking clearly, facing the participant, and checking for understanding
