Description:

Proyecto Pastoral is seeking passionate and skilled volunteer barbers to help provide free haircuts for our residents at our homeless shelter. Your contribution will have a significant impact, boosting self-esteem and promoting dignity among individuals who are experiencing homelessness.

As a volunteer barber, you will:

• Provide haircuts to shelter residents in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment.
• Help foster a sense of community and belonging among individuals who are often marginalized.
• Work alongside our dedicated staff to ensure the well-being and comfort of each individual.
• Offer a warm and welcoming space for all residents, regardless of background.

Requirements:

• Professional barbering skills (licensed or non-licensed welcome).
• Friendly and respectful demeanor.
• Ability to work with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental attitude.
• Availability for 2-3 hour shifts, ideally on a regular basis (days and times flexible).
