Alliance Health Project is looking for 2-3 volunteer facilitators to cofacilitate peer support groups for people living with HIV, most of whom are older adults. You will be asked to fill out an online questionnaire and then attend an interview. Successful applicants will be invited to attend a training in group skills on July 24th, 25th and 26th.
Following the training, some participants may be matched with another peer facilitator to co-lead an support group for people living with HIV / AIDS depending on the number of openings we have to fill. Groups meet for 1 1/2 to 2 hours once a week and we ask that volunteers make a 1-year commitment, which includes attending a volunteer meeting the first Saturday of every month over Zoom from 10 - 11:30.
At present, all groups are meeting over Zoom with one group meeting in person twice per month and Zoom for other sessions.
