Human Resources Volunteer Commitment and Considerations
This is a volunteer leadership position requiring a commitment of approximately 2–4 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible and can accommodate professional, academic, and personal obligations. Participation in this volunteer role is entirely voluntary and at the individual’s own discretion. The organization makes no guarantees regarding compensation, employment, professional advancement, benefits, outcomes, or opportunities arising from participation, and volunteers are responsible for ensuring that their involvement complies with any personal, professional, academic, or legal obligations applicable to them.
The Director of Volunteer Vetting, Compliance & Engagement will participate in periodic meetings, volunteer interviews, onboarding activities, and program coordination efforts. Most responsibilities can be performed remotely, with occasional participation in virtual or in-person events as needed.
This role is ideal for professionals, attorneys, compliance specialists, human resources professionals, nonprofit leaders, law students, retired executives, and community advocates who are passionate about expanding access to justice and strengthening ethical, community-centered legal services.
Volunteers in this position will have the opportunity to help build and shape a growing nonprofit organization while developing leadership experience, professional networks, and meaningful community impact.
