The Intake Coordinator is the first face clients see when they arrive at LASH Haven. You are responsible for welcoming new clients with dignity and respect, completing all intake documentation, managing HMIS data entry, and ensuring that every client is connected to the right services from their very first night. This role is critical to our program's compliance with Clark County and our ability to serve clients effectively.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct client intake interviews and complete all required intake documentation upon arrival
    • Enter all new client data into HMIS (Bitfocus) within 24 hours of intake
    • Manage daily bed occupancy roster and coordinate bed assignments with Shelter Manager
    • Distribute hygiene kits, clothing items, and household supplies to new intakes
    • Maintain organized and accurate client files — both digital (HMIS) and physical records
    • Conduct weekly data quality reviews to ensure HMIS records are complete and accurate
    • Assist with monthly data audits prior to Request for Reimbursement (RFR) submissions
    • Coordinate client check-out process and update HMIS exit records
    • Support Case Managers with scheduling and documentation as needed
    • Serve as front-line point of contact for client questions, concerns, and service requests

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required — Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in data entry, administrative coordination, or human services
    • Strong computer skills — proficiency in Microsoft Office required; HMIS experience a plus
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Warm, patient, and professional communication style — experience working with vulnerable populations preferred
    • Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in a high-volume, fast-paced shelter environment
    • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
