Child Enrichment Program

Ages Served: 6 weeks - 10 years

Mondays and Thursdays 6:15 PM - 7:45 PM

While parents in our program attend on campus life skills classes on Monday and Thursday evenings, volunteers provide Connection Time for children in a dedicated, welcoming space on our campus designed for safety, warmth, and creativity.

Connection Time focuses on nurturing relationships, emotional safety, and healthy play. Activities may include guided crafts, games, reading, or free play with attentive and caring adults. Volunteers are welcome to bring age-appropriate activities they enjoy sharing with children.

At least two adults are present at all times, and FRH staff are always on site to support volunteers.

A weekly commitment on either Monday or Thursday for at least six months is preferred to promote consistency and relationship building, though we are flexible and happy to discuss scheduling needs.

Your volunteer commitment directly supports families working toward long-term self-sufficiency and resilience. By providing children with consistent, positive relationships during these evenings, you help parents fully engage in the skills and education that strengthen their families. This support helps children feel secure and supported while parents are doing the hard work to create change in their lives.
