About the Program:
At RTSV, we believe strong community connections help us reach more neighbors in need. Our Volunteer Ambassador Program expands our outreach by placing trusted, people-oriented volunteers in key outreach throughout Santa Clara County. Ambassadors help raise awareness, share resources, and connect residents with programs that support safe and healthy living. By building authentic relationships and representing RTSV in the community, Ambassadors play a vital role in ensuring more residents know where to turn for help. This flexible volunteer role is perfect for individuals who enjoy engaging with others and want to make a meaningful impact through outreach and communication.
What You'll Do:
- Build relationships in your community
- Represent RTSV in a positive, knowledgeable, and welcoming way
- Encourage participation in RTSV programs, events, and initiatives
- Support outreach efforts by attending events, distributing materials, and sharing resources
- Shadow and assist the Outreach Coordinator during workshops, campaigns, and community events
What We're Looking For :
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, reliable, and comfortable engaging with the public
- Passionate about supporting the community and RTSV's mission
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- No experience required - great for volunteers seeking experience or service hours
- Must have reliable transportation
- Flexible availability; up to 6 hours per event
Here's How It Works:

- Training: Receive training, resources, and support to prepare you for outreach activities
- Materials: Outreach materials and resources will be provided as needed for events
- Assignment Details: You'll receive event or outreach details in advance, including location, timing and expectations.
- Shifts: Scheduled as needed, based on community events and outreach opportunities
- Location: Throughout Santa Clara County, depending on your assigned focus area.
