This is more than a volunteer role, it’s a hands-on opportunity to learn how nonprofits grow, build relationships, and secure funding to make lasting impact in communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update donor records in CRM systems
- Track recurring donations and monitor fundraising performance
- Assist with donor thank-you messages and engagement communications
- Support monthly reporting and fundraising tracking
- Help execute key campaigns like Giving Tuesday and year-end appeals
- Track campaign performance and engagement metrics
- Draft donor emails and follow-up communications
- Research grant opportunities aligned with our mission
- Maintain a grant tracking calendar
- Assist with preparing grant materials and documentation
- Support sponsor outreach and follow-ups
- Assist with fundraising efforts tied to major programs and events
- Track sponsorship commitments and ensure deliverables are met
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Clear and professional written communication
- Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, or social impact
- Ability to commit consistently each week
- Familiarity with donor/CRM platforms (Givebutter, Zeffy, DonorPerfect, etc.)
- Previous nonprofit or fundraising experience
