A participant is seeking a compassionate and patient volunteer to assist with organizing and unpacking personal belongings following a recent move. Due to chronic pain and mobility limitations, completing these tasks independently has been difficult and has become a significant source of stress.
This volunteer role offers an opportunity to provide practical support while building a meaningful connection through conversation and companionship. Assistance may include sorting items, organize belongings, and helping create a comfortable, settled living space.
Volunteer Qualifications
- Patient, kind, and nonjudgmental
- Comfortable assisting with light organizing and unpacking tasks
- Able to work at a steady pace based on the participant's comfort and abilities
- Enjoys offering encouragement and companionship
Additional Considerations
- The participant has a large, friendly dog and a cat in the apartment.
- Volunteers should be comfortable around pets and aware that the apartment may have strong pet-related odors.
