LoveSetMatch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that inspires and empowers youth through sports, education, and community programming. We are developing Sportee, our nonprofit’s internal AI agent, and we are looking for volunteers who are excited about artificial intelligence, automation, agent development, and using technology for social good.

Sportee is being designed as more than a chatbot. She will become an AI teammate that helps our nonprofit operate more efficiently, find resources, support volunteers and coaches, organize information, assist with fundraising, and ultimately allow our human team to spend more time directly serving our community.

We would love to connect with developers, AI enthusiasts, students, engineers, prompt engineers, automation specialists, and curious builders who want hands-on experience developing a real-world AI agent with an altruistic mission.

What Sportee Will Help Us Do

Sportee’s purpose is to multiply the impact of a small nonprofit team.

As her capabilities grow, Sportee will help LoveSetMatch:

• Research grants, foundations, sponsorships, and community resources that can fund free and low-cost programs.
• Help identify opportunities that make sports and educational programming more accessible to underserved families.
• Organize nonprofit knowledge so coaches, volunteers, staff, and future leaders can quickly find the information they need.
• Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, communication, and engagement.
• Assist with program planning, reporting, research, documentation, and administrative work.
• Help track opportunities, important deadlines, partnerships, and community needs.
• Preserve institutional knowledge so the organization becomes stronger and more sustainable over time.
• Reduce repetitive administrative work so our team can spend more time coaching, mentoring, teaching, and connecting personally with the people we serve.

Our long-term vision is for Sportee to demonstrate how AI can strengthen human service rather than replace it.

Every hour Sportee saves our team can become another hour spent helping a child discover a sport, supporting a volunteer, developing a new community program, finding funding for an underserved neighborhood, or building an educational opportunity.

What You Might Work On

Depending on your interests and experience, volunteer projects may include:

• AI agent architecture and workflows
• Open-source AI tools and local language models
• LLM integrations and APIs
• Prompt and context engineering
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Knowledge-base organization
• Google Workspace integrations
• Grant research and data workflows
• Calendar and deadline automation
• CRM integrations
• Agent memory and knowledge management
• Python, JavaScript, APIs, webhooks, and automation tools
• Privacy, permissions, and responsible AI practices
• Testing and improving Sportee’s reliability
• Creating documentation so future volunteers can continue the project

You do not need to know all of these technologies. We are happy to work with volunteers who have a particular specialty or who want to learn while contributing.
