Volunteer with Camp Erin 2026 - A Free Bereavement Camp for Youth

Camp Erin is a free weekend bereavement camp for children and teens (ages 6-17 years old) who have experienced the death of a loved one. Hosted by Penn Medicine Hospice, Camp Erin provides a safe, supportive environment where youth can connect, express grief, and build coping skills.

Location: Montgomery County, PA

Camp Dates: June 12-14, 2026

Volunteer Roles Include:

• Cabin Buddy (direct camper support - must be 21+)
• Committee Member (ages 18-20 years old eligible)
• Activity & Program Support
• Event Logistics & Support

Requirements:

• Must be 18+ (21+ for Cabin Roles)
• Interview and background check required
• Attendance at all the mandatory trainings
• Commitment to the full camp weekend

Training Dates:

• April 11th (New Volunteer Training)
• May 16th (All Volunteer Training - Virtual)
• June 6th (Preview Party)

Volunteers play a critical role in creating a safe and healing experience for grieving youth. No prior grief experience is required, just compassion, reliability, and a commitment to supporting children.
