Descrição
Jewish Community Services is seeking a volunteer literacy tutor for an adult male with an intellectual disability, currently reading at a 1st grade level. This opportunity would be in-person for a 60-minute session per week reading with client. Client works and tutoring goal is to increase his reading skills with regard to common product names and words that are used at work to help him learn new skills. Volunteers should have patience, compassion, a positive attitude, the ability to work well with people, and be resourceful.
Volunteers must pass a criminal background check.
