Mentor a Spanish-Speaking Student

Covington Independent Public Schools has a growing number of EL students that face a unique set of challenges in their educational journey. We are seeking Spanish-speaking volunteer mentors to join our program to provide our EL students the opportunity to connect with an adult role model. Mentors are matched with a 6th-12th grade student at Holmes Middle or High School. These matches meet for 45-60 minutes once a week during the school day. A mutual meeting time is based on the student's class schedule and mentor's availability.

All mentoring matches have access to a mentoring coordinator, who is available to support and guide the relationship if mentors should have any questions or concerns.
