Veteran-to-Veteran Support Volunteers needed

A Companionship Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer should be a Veteran who possesses the ability to actively listen and communicate compassionately with patients, families, and caregivers at the end-of-life. You will be working as a team with family members and hospice staff. You must have the ability to respect patient/family belief systems, emotional maturity and sensitivity. Must be dependable having access to reliable transportation. He/ she will have understanding of Hospice philosophy after appropriate training.
