Position Overview
The Assistant Press Secretary supports the Office of Communications in promoting, managing, and protecting the public image of The Labelle White House. This role assists in coordinating media relations, preparing press materials, supporting events, and ensuring consistent and professional communication across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Press Secretary with drafting press releases, media statements, and official communications.
- Support media coverage at all events hosted or partnered by The Labelle White House.
- Help manage social media accounts and coordinate posts in alignment with organizational messaging.
- Monitor news and media outlets for relevant coverage and prepare daily or weekly media summaries.
- Assist with photography, videography, and documentation during events.
- Coordinate interviews, press conferences, and public appearances for leadership officials.
- Maintain organized records of media contacts, press inquiries, and published materials.
- Travel as needed to support statewide events and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in media relations, journalism, or public communications preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional presence with attention to confidentiality and protocol.
- Proficiency with social media management and basic photo/video tools.
