    Infrastructure Tech Mentor - Summer 2026 (Online)

    What do we do?

    Teamup is at the forefront of leveraging technology for social good through our pioneering "Apps For Good" initiative. We enable college students to build impactful software solutions, focusing on crucial issues like environmental conservation, support for at-risk populations, and innovative communication tools. Our platform offers college students the unique opportunity to develop functional prototypes and working pilots, under the guidance of industry professionals.

By integrating students into projects that tackle real challenges, we provide them with not just technical skills but also a profound mentorship experience, enhancing their growth and preparing them for future challenges.     Introducing the Infrastructure Tech Mentor Role

    This role is tailored for experts in Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices, aiming to mentor college students in creating cutting-edge web application infrastructure. As an Infrastructure Tech Mentor, you will guide our future infrastructure engineers in design and implementation while coordinating with other Tech Mentors specialized in back-end and front-end technologies.

    Timeline

    Mentorship starts on Monday, June 01st, 2026 and ends on Friday, August 14th, 2026.

    You can choose to mentor one or multiple teams.

    One team requires a minimum of 03 hours of commitment per week.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Provide targeted mentorship in Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices, ensuring students adopt modern best practices.
    • Facilitate hands-on learning experiences, offering insights into site reliability, security, and scalability, using a modern toolset and approach.
    • Engage in active coordination with Back-end and Front-end Tech Mentors, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across project components.
    • Nurture an environment of innovation and exploration, encouraging students to embrace new technologies and approaches in web development.

    Minimum Expectations:

    • Availability: During project time, dedicate 3-4 hours per week to project reviews, hands-on learning sessions, and mentoring of students. Between projects, we work on the preparation of project materials and review previous projects.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with students and other mentors, fostering a supportive and transparent team culture.
    • Commitment: Exhibit a genuine passion for education, technology, and making a difference through social impact projects.
    • Residency: Must be based in the United States.

    We're Looking For Tech Mentors With:

    • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and DevOps practices.
    • The ability to coach students on modern best practices to implement systems that are reliable, secure, and scalable.
    • An enthusiasm for mentorship, education, and team leadership.
    • A desire to develop and enhance one's own team leadership skills, particularly in a multidisciplinary tech environment.
