Early Learners School Guides work with students in preschool through second grade. Programs include Plants and Me, Is It Alive?, Butterflies in the Garden, and tours include Sensory Tours and Garden Variety Tours focusing on young learners.
Each program features a tour portion which takes place in an indoor or outdoor garden space, and a hands-on activity portion, which may be completed in a classroom setting. Throughout all Programs and Tours, young learners focus on building connections between the plants they know and new plants. Program content features the following concepts: needs of living things, life cycles, and how people use plants.
The goal of these programs and tours is to connect our youngest visitors with plants through fun, hands-on, age-appropriate learning experiences.
You can learn about being an Early Learners School Guide at an upcoming virtual information session. The information session will be on Thursday, January 22, 10-11am.
