    We are currently strengthening our digital platforms and product delivery structure to support website readiness, MVP launch planning, technical coordination, volunteer engagement, documentation and long-term platform development.

    About the Opportunity

    Santos Creations Educational Foundation is creating a stronger Product Management Office & Product Delivery Team to support the digital growth of NESA-Africa, SCEF, EduAid-Africa and related platforms.

    We are looking for volunteers, interns and product-minded professionals who can help us improve coordination between product, technology, content, QA, volunteers and leadership.

    This opportunity is suitable for people interested in:

    product management;

    technical product management;

    project coordination;

    business analysis;

    software delivery support;

    QA testing;

    technical documentation;

    volunteer coordination;

    data and dashboard planning;

    nonprofit, civic-tech or education technology projects.

    This is a structured 20-week volunteer/intern opportunity designed to help build a stronger product delivery office across our platforms.

    Why We Need This Team

    As our platforms grow, we need stronger coordination, clearer documentation, better task ownership, improved follow-up, and more structured delivery support.

    The Product Management Office will help ensure that:

    platform work is properly organized;

    developers receive clearer product requirements;

    volunteers and interns are assigned meaningful tasks;

    tasks have owners, deadlines and evidence requirements;

    QA and testing are properly tracked;

    leadership receives clear progress updates;

    NESA-Africa, SCEF and EduAid-Africa all receive product management attention;

    future modules such as voting, dashboards, local chapters, wallet integration, NRC and judges’ workflows are properly documented.

    Our operating principle is:

    No structure, no execution.

    No evidence, no completion.

    No task allocation, no onboarding.

    Available Volunteer / Intern Roles

    Applicants may apply for one or more of the following roles:

    1. Product Management / Product Delivery Volunteer

    Support the Product Management Office with product planning, task tracking, delivery follow-up and platform readiness.

    Responsibilities include:

    supporting the product roadmap;

    tracking feature readiness;

    following up with task owners;

    updating product delivery status;

    supporting weekly product reports;

    helping convert ideas into clear product tasks.

    1. Technical Product Management Volunteer

    Support technical product coordination between leadership, product managers, developers and QA.

    Responsibilities include:

    writing user stories;

    drafting acceptance criteria;

    clarifying frontend and backend requirements;

    tracking API and database dependencies;

    helping prepare developer-ready tasks;

    supporting MVP readiness reviews.

    1. Product Documentation Volunteer

    Support documentation for product requirements, meetings, decisions, user flows and feature planning.

    Responsibilities include:

    documenting product meetings;

    recording decisions and action items;

    updating requirements documents;

    organizing feature lists;

    maintaining MVP scope notes;

    documenting future modules such as voting, wallet, dashboards, local chapters, NRC and judges’ workflows.

    1. QA / User Acceptance Testing Volunteer

    Support testing and quality assurance across our digital platforms.

    Responsibilities include:

    creating simple test cases;

    testing website pages;

    checking mobile and desktop responsiveness;

    testing links, buttons and forms;

    tracking bugs;

    documenting failed tests;

    following up on fixes and retesting.

    1. Volunteer and Intern Coordination Assistant

    Support volunteer onboarding, task assignment and follow-up.

    Responsibilities include:

    tracking volunteer applications;

    recording volunteer skills and availability;

    helping assign first tasks;

    ensuring each volunteer has a supervisor;

    checking task completion evidence;

    following up with inactive volunteers;

    helping prevent volunteers from being left idle.

    1. Data and Dashboard Readiness Volunteer

    Support data flow, dashboard planning and reporting readiness.

    Responsibilities include:

    tracking Google Forms data flow;

    supporting nominee data organization;

    documenting data fields;

    supporting duplicate detection workflow planning;

    tracking dashboard requirements;

    working with product and technical teams on data readiness.

    First 72-Hour Expectations

    Selected volunteers may be asked to support one or more of the following within their first 72 hours:

    review assigned platform pages;

    join the product task board;

    confirm preferred role and availability;

    complete a starter task;

    review current product documentation;

    support task organization;

    assist with QA checks;

    document issues or blockers;

    prepare a short readiness or observation report.

    Every volunteer will be assigned a clear first task, supervisor, deadline and evidence requirement.

    Ideal Candidates

    We are looking for people who can:

    communicate clearly;

    work responsibly in a remote or hybrid team;

    understand product or project delivery;

    document tasks and decisions properly;

    use task boards or spreadsheets;

    coordinate respectfully with developers and non-technical teams;

    follow up on assigned work;

    provide evidence of completed tasks;

    support volunteers and interns;

    work with limited supervision;

    contribute to an education-focused social impact organization.

    Preferred Skills

    You do not need to have all the skills listed below. However, experience in any of these areas will be helpful:

    product management;

    technical product management;

    QA / UAT testing;

    technical writing;

    requirements documentation;

    Trello, Asana, ClickUp, Jira, Notion or Google Sheets;

    React / Next.js awareness;

    frontend/backend workflow awareness;

    Google Forms and Google Sheets;

    dashboard or data reporting;

    volunteer coordination;

    nonprofit, civic-tech or education technology projects.
