Descrição
As an Accentcare Hospice Volunteer, you'll provide companionship and emotional support to patients and families during a very important time in their lives. Every volunteer experience is unique, and assignments are based on your comfort level, availability, and the needs of the patient and family.
Volunteer activities may include:
- Visiting and spending quality time with patients
- Reading, playing games, or sharing conversation
- Writing letters or cards on behalf of patients
- Providing respite for family caregivers
- Assisting with light household tasks
- Helping with pet or plant care
- Making friendly "tuck-in" phone calls to check on patients and families
- Offering a caring presence and emotional support
